Orange Shirt Day

Today we discussed orange shirt day.

We watched this video and learned about Phyllis' story (and the importance of the orange shirt):

We talked about how many First Nations children were not treated well at school. They were not respected, cared for, or loved.

The students said that they probably felt very sad. Many students did feel very sad and some still live with that pain today.

Look at all of our orange shirts from today!
