Turkey (no it's not Thanksgiving)

On the weekend a girl in our morning class lost a tooth! She chose Turkey. The students thought this was very funny as we EAT turkey on Thanksgiving!

We talked about how Turkey is a place where some children live.

This is new one for me. Nobody has ever picked Turkey when losing a tooth. Take a read below:

Yee-Haw (PM Version)

Today was Western Day!

We had 6 centres that the students rotated through today. These are photos from the PM class.

1. Playdoh Sculpt Centre
At this centre, students made farm creations with playdoh.

2. Cow Milking Centre
At this centre, students learned about cows and practiced milking a cow!

3. Farm Bingo
At this centre students played BINGO with farm animals. If they got a straight line and yelled, "BINGO," that student got to eat a hay bale (a mini wheat).

4. Pretend Play
One student in our morning class generously loaned us his farm toys to play with. We had a blast!

5. Grain Weigh Scale
At this centre, students learned about different kinds of grain (generously donated from a grandma in our morning class) and experimented with weights of grains and toy animals.

6. Lasso Centre
At this centre, students learned about horses, saddles and lassoing!

Mr. B., our VP (Vice Principal) had to give lassoing a try!

Thank you SO MUCH to our generous parent volunteers who came to help us today. We appreciate your help!!
